In the AgriChain ecosystem, there are five types of orders: Freight Orders, Call on Grain Order, Request Order, Pack Order, and Throughput Order
- Freight Order: Freight order is an agreement between a freight provider and the customer, where the freight provider moves grain from the pickup site to the delivery site. This allows users to create/record an arrangement with a Freight provider/themselves for the transport of the commodity within a specific timeline.
- Call-On-Grain Order: Between seller and buyer, this feature helps both parties agree on a particular arrangement to deliver a portion of the stock as required by the buyer, dated within the selected date range for which delivery has not yet been initiated.
- Request Order: An order where both parties decide a date range to pick up or deliver an order. This facilitates the pickup and delivery of commodities from and to the bulk handling company/storage of the seller/buyer.
- Pack Order: In case the commodity needs to be delivered in a certain packaging, users can use the Pack Order functionality to record the contract with the packaging provider and set up terms for the packaging of goods.
- Throughput Order: Throughput loads are offered by sites to manage loads that are often stored for a short period of time or are intended to be moved to another location soon. Often, throughput loads do not incur receival (inload) or storage fees until they are outturned (outloaded), where the owner of said throughput loads will be charged the throughput rate. On the AgriChain platform, the throughput rate during outload can be captured using the 'Throughput Outload Fees' function. [Refer Article: How to Manage Throughput Loads]
Types of Freight Orders:
A freight order can be created on its own OR against a contract.
- Customer Only: For a standalone freight order. Create a Customer Only freight order. This is often used for transaction-associated freight orders where goods need to be transported from one party to another. [Refer Article: Creating a standalone freight order]
- Seller To Buyer: In cases where a delivery has to be made from one site to another within the same company, i.e the NGR for the stocks does not change, users can make use of the customer-only freight order type. Create a 'Seller To Buyer' freight order when the Freight order is against a contract.
