How to Set Up Alerts (Email/SMS Notifications)

Modified on Wed, 12 Mar at 12:21 PM

Introduction

The AgriChain platform allows you to set up specific Alerts to be sent via email or SMS notifications.

For example, 'Pickup Confirmation - Email' alert notifications can be set up to be sent to different recipients types and their associated role types on the platform. In this example, this email notification will notify the selected recipients about the pickup information from your site.

To Set Up an Alert

  1. Go to the 'Alerts' section via your Profile Initials (top right hand corner of the page).
  2. In the 'ALERTS' tab, click on the green '+ALERT' button to create a new alert.
  3. A window will appear on the right hand side of the page with the header title 'New Alert'.
  4. Select the 'Name' of the alert and 'Alert Type' you would like to set up. For example, 'Pickup Confirmation - Email'.
  5. Additional fields will appear where you can select the role types associated with different recipient types. For example, you may only want the 'Company Admin' of your Customer Recipients to receive the alert notification.
  6. If you would like to set up individual, site-specific alerts, click on the 'ADD SITE WISE' button to nominate site-specific recipients.
  7. Once all the relevant details have been selected, click on the 'SUBMIT' button to finalise the creation of your alert.

Common Questions

How can I change/edit an existing alert?

First, go to your 'Alerts' section and identify the specific alert line item you would like to edit.

Click on the line item and a window will pop up on the right hand side of the page.

Proceed to make your edits/selections and once ready, click on the 'SUBMIT' button to finalise the changes.

I have created an alert but no longer require it. How can I stop/deactivate it?

Currently, created alerts cannot be deleted by the user. However, you can stop an alert by making it inactive (deactivating it).

To do so, go to your 'Alerts' section and toggle the specific alert line item to active or not active.
