Introduction

Efficiently manage your company's structure and operations by understanding the diverse roles and permissions available on the AgriChain platform. A permissions chart is included at the bottom of this article for you to save. 


What are the roles and what can they do?

Company Admin

  • Role Overview: Holds ultimate authority with full control over the company's AgriChain account.
  • Permissions: Access to all company-related information, including contracts, freight orders, and details. Can add employees, remove employees, change their details, trigger a password reset and edit their username and email address.
  • Recommendation: Typically, each company should have only one company administrator. Exceptions require approval, email support@agrichain.com.

Office Admin

  • Role Overview: Similar to company administration but limited in editing company details or adding offices.
  • Permissions: Full control over the linked office, excluding company-wide modifications. Can add employees and edit their
  • Refer to these articles for employee maintenance Office Admins can perform:

Add an employee (Limitation: cannot set password or trigger password for employee, must provide username and ask employee to click "Forgot Password" on log in page, also cannot add Company Admin roles)

Update employee details (Limitation: cannot edit employee usernames - the employee can do this themselves once logged in)


Office Employee

  • Role Overview: Similar to Office Admin but restricted to adding employees or general conditions.
  • Permission: control is limited to the linked office's functions.

Farm Admin

  • Role Overview: Similar to company administration but exclusive to the linked farm.
  • Permissions: Full control over the linked farm, excluding company-wide details.

Note: You cannot edit company details but can manage farm-specific information and add farm employees.


Farm Employee

  • Role Overview: Similar to Farm Admin, with control specific to the linked farm.
  • Permissions: functions are aligned with the Farm Admin role.

Site Admin

  • Role Overview: Restricted to viewing details, with exceptions in the Site Management and Booking sections.
  • Permissions: Management of company sites' time slots and bookings, excluding broader sections.

Site Employee

  • Role Overview: Limited to viewing details, with exceptions in the Site Management and Booking sections.
  • Permissions: Ability to manage company sites' time slots and external site bookings.

Driver

  • Role Overview: Exclusively uses the AgriChain Mobile App to access assigned job schedules, such as planned freight movements. A subscriber may request AgriChain to hide all contracts and orders from the driver. Please submit a ticket via the Help '?' Widget. 
  • Permissions: Mobile app access without login capabilities on the AgriChain Web App.

Unassigned

  • Role Overview: Does not have access to AgriChain. This role is exclusively for users created in registered companies but not by the company admin of the said company.
  • Permissions: No Access.

FAQs

Can a company have more than one company administrator on AgriChain?

While AgriChain recommends having a single company administrator, exceptions can be made. To request additional company admin roles, the current company admin must submit a request via admin@agrichain.com.


What differentiates an office administrator from an office employee in terms of permissions?

An Office Admin has similar permissions to a Company Admin but is restricted from editing company details or adding offices. In contrast, an office employee has more limited control, excluding the ability to add employees or general conditions.


How does the farm admin role differ from a farm employee's role on AgriChain?

Both roles offer similar permissions related to the linked farm. However, a farm administrator can manage farm-specific details, while a farm employee has more restricted capabilities.


What actions can a site administrator and site employee perform on AgriChain?
Site admin and site employee roles are limited to viewing details, with exceptions in the site management and booking sections. They can manage time slots and bookings for the company's sites but have restrictions in broader sections.


Can a driver log in to the AgriChain Web App, or is access limited to the mobile app?
The driver role is exclusively designed for mobile app access. Drivers can view job schedules, such as planned freight movements, but do not have log-in capabilities on the AgriChain Web App.
