Can I Duplicate an Existing Contract?

Modified on Thu, 1 May at 3:34 PM

Yes, AgriChain allows users to duplicate an existing contract to save time and maintain consistency. This is particularly useful when you need to create multiple contracts with similar details, such as for recurring counterparties, grades, or pricing structures.

When Should You Duplicate a Contract?

  • When creating multiple contracts with similar terms

  • To avoid re-entering the same data repeatedly

  • For quick onboarding of seasonal or repeating contracts

  • To maintain data consistency in contract entries

Follow these steps to duplicate a contract in AgriChain:

  1. Log in to AgriChain using your credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Contract module from the left-hand menu.

  3. Find the contract you want to duplicate.

  4. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) located at the end of the contract row.

  5. Select “Duplicate Contract” from the dropdown.

  6. A new contract form will open, pre-filled with details from the original contract.

  7. Review and update any required fields (e.g., date, quantity, pricing, counterparty).

  8. Click “Continue and Review”.

  9. On the preview screen, verify the information and click “Submit”.

Things to Note

  • You can edit any field in the duplicated contract before submission.

  • Notes and attachments from the original contract will not be copied over—please upload them manually if needed.

  • Ensure all contract dates and pricing are current before submitting.
