To create and record freight movements, it's important that trucks and trailers are setup for companies that perform freight activities.
Path: Profile Picture > Company Details > Trucks >
To add or edit trucks and trailer for a company:
- Click on 'Companies' in the left navigation bar. You will then be brought to the companies directory linked to your profile.
- Find and click on the company in the directory you want to edit. You will then be brought to the company details page for that company.
- Along the top of the page you will see a number of tabs that will show the various details and settings for the company. Click on the 'Trucks' tab.
- To add a new truck, click the 'Truck' button in the top-right of the Trucks table.
- To add a new trailer, click the 'Trailer' button in the top-right of the Trailers table.
- To edit an existing truck or trailer, select the truck or trailer from the list.
- For each truck or trailer you will be able to define the:
- Registration number (Rego)
- Tare weight
- Gross weight
- To change the configuration of trucks and trailers, select the truck you want to configure from the list, click on the '+' button, then select the trailer (by rego) from the dropdown. You can add up to three trailers for each truck.
- Once you have finished adding or editing a truck or trailer, click the 'Save' button at the bottom of the form.
Note:
- If the company is currently an AgriChain user, the truck and trailer details will be locked and you will not be able to edit them. This is because the company controls their own truck and trailer details in the AgriChain system. If you believe their truck or trailer details need amending, please contact the company directly.
- If the company is not an AgriChain user but has already been added to the global directory by another user, the truck and trailer details will be automatically populated, but can still be edited by you. Please note that if you make changes to the truck and trailer details, these changes will be system-wide and all other AgriChain users with that company in their directory will be able to see the changes you make.
- If the company has never been added to the AgriChain system by any user, you will need to enter the truck and trailer details to complete their profile.
