Introduction
In AgriChain, storage is essential for farms and sites to record and monitor stock levels.
Step By Step Instructions to Add or Edit Storage Associated with a Farm/Site:
- Log in to AgriChain using your credentials.
- Navigate to the "Farms/Sites" section from your Profile Initials (top right-hand corner). This will display a list of farms/sites linked to your profile.
- Locate and click on the specific farm/site you wish to edit. This will take you to the overview page for that farm/site.
- Click on the relevant site where you need to add or update storage.
- Go to the "Storages" tab (as shown in the screenshot).
- To add new storage, click on the '+HOME STORAGE' button to initiate the process.
- Fill in the required details:
- Storage Name: Name of the storage
- Type: Specifies the type of storage (e.g. silo, bag, bin, shed, bunker, field hay stack, silage pit, tank)
- Size: Capacity of the storage in MT
- Location: Specify the exact GPS coordinates for freight navigation (e.g., a silo bag in a particular field).
- Click "SAVE" to add the storage under the site.
To Edit or Modify an Existing Storage:
- Follow Steps 1-4 mentioned above.
- In the storage list, locate the storage you want to edit and click on it.
- Update the details as required.
- Using the 3-dot menu beside each storage, you will be able to 'Delete' a storage.
- Storages are not permanently deleted but are instead archived, reflecting the industry's practice of temporarily suspending unused storages. Archived storages can be reactivated at any time from the 'Archived Storages' tab.
- Once you’ve completed adding or editing the storage details, click the "SAVE" button at the bottom of the form to finalise the changes.
Managing Storage in Your Company:
You can manage storage for your company via the Company Details section in AgriChain.
Important Notes:
Locked Storage Details for AgriChain Users:
If the company associated with the storage is an active AgriChain user, their storage details will be locked, and you will not be able to edit them. The company is responsible for managing their own storage information. If updates are needed, please contact the company directly.Editable Storage Details for Non-Users:
If the company is not an active AgriChain user but has been added to the global directory by another user, the storage details will be pre-filled but editable by you.- Any changes made to these storage details will apply system-wide, and all AgriChain users with that company in their directory will see the updates.
- Ensure accuracy before making changes to avoid unintended consequences for other users.
