Setting up Hay sheds as storages

Modified on Thu, 28 Nov, 2024 at 10:03 AM

To note, currently, the AgriChain platform only handles Hay on the Web app but we will soon be releasing Hay on the Mobile App.

Hay sheds will need to set up as Storages in Farms or Sites.

Each Hay shed can consist of X number of rows.

Thus, we recommend for each Hay shed to be named using the naming convention below to denote 1) the shed's name, and 2) the number of rows in a shed.

  • E.g. Hay Shed 01 (R1-10) to denote Hay Shed 1 Rows 1 to 10.

To set up your Hay storages on the Web app:

  1. On the top right hand corner of the page, Click on your Profile Initials > 'Sites' or 'Farms', depending on your role.
    • Growers will see 'Farms'
    • Traders/BHCs will see 'Sites'
  2. From here, Click on the Site or Farm you wish to add a Hay shed storage to.
  3. On the Site/Farm Page, select the 'STORAGES' tab.
  4. On the top right hand side of the page, Click on the + HOME / SYSTEM STORAGE button to add a new Hay shed storage

  5. Upon clicking the button, a window will appear on the right hand side of the page with the header titled 'Add Storage'.
  6. Input the relevant details:
    • Storage Name: E.g. Hay Shed 01 (R1-10) to denote Hay Shed 1 Rows 1 to 10.
    • Type: SHED
      • For Hay sheds, the type selected must be 'SHED'.
    • Size (MT)
    • Select Location: GPS pin the exact location of your hay shed.
  7. Once done, Click on SAVE.
  8. Your Hay shed will now be set up and ready for inload / outload. Noting that this can only be done on the Web App.

To inload / outload stock out of your newly created Hay Shed, please refer to this guide: How to Add and Remove Stock (Inload and Outload)
