Introduction
A Call on Grain Order acts as a notification to the counterparty of an impending pickup or delivery of grains. This is ideal for users who have no direct involvement in organising freight.

FAQs
When do I create a Call on Grain order?
You create a Call on Grain order when the delivery responsibility ("Delivery Onus") is on the seller. This instructs the seller to deliver the grain as per the contract.
What if the "Delivery Onus" is on me (the buyer)?
If the "Delivery Onus" is on you, you do not need to create a Call on Grain order. Instead, you should create a Freight Order to coordinate the delivery.
I'm getting an error when trying to create a Call on Grain order. What should I do?
Please check the "Delivery Onus" in your contract. If it's on you, you should create a Freight Order, not a Call on Grain order.
How do I find out if the "Delivery Onus" is on me or the seller?
The "Delivery Onus" is specified in the contract details under the "Terms and Conditions" section.
What's the difference between a Call on Grain Order and a Freight Order?
A Call on Grain order instructs the seller to deliver the grain. A Freight Order is created by the party responsible for delivery (either buyer or seller) to coordinate the logistics of the delivery.
I am getting an error indicating "Delivery order is mandatory" when I try to create a freight order, what should I do?
First, on the Sales Contract, create a 'Call on Grain' order and set the pickup site as needed. Then, on the Purchase Contract, create a freight order against the Sales Contract. Select the created Call on Grain order in the 'Delivery Order' field to link the Freight Order back to it.
Is the grain order created automatically?
Grain Orders under Sale Contract are automatically created by the system when a Freight Order is created against Purchase Contract allocation. You don't need to manually create Grain Orders under the Sale Contract unless needed.
How do I amend the Delivery Onus?
The Delivery Onus is created at the time of contract creation. If you need to change the Delivery Onus, you will need to amend the original contract.
