Steps to Posting a Cash Price

Introduction

Cash Price refers to the agreed-upon price that a buyer commits to paying for a specific commodity. In this setup, the buyer posts the price they are willing to pay based on the requirement at a particular site. If a seller at the same site is ready to sell the same commodity at that price, a cashout can occur, and a Title Transfer is created to complete the transaction.

Step-by-step Instructions for Posting a Cash Price:

1. Log in to AgriChain using your credentials.
2. Navigate to the Cash board module from the left-hand side menu.
3. Navigate to the My Active Price tab.
4. Click on '+Price' (Green button) in the top right corner of the screen.
5. Fill out the form based on relevant details or bulk upload the details. Please refer to the article to learn more about the cash price form [Refer Articles]
6. Click on “Save” to proceed.
7. The cash price will be listed in the Cash Prices tab based on the Start date.

Step-by-step Instructions for Posting a Cash Price via CSV Upload

1. Log in to AgriChain using your credentials.
2. Navigate to the Cash board module from the left-hand side menu.
3. Navigate to the My Active Price tab.
4. Look for the cloud icon with the download symbol so that you can download a CSV template.
5. Please complete the CSV template as per the examples in the template. (Note: Please ensure you enter the Location (Site Name) and Company Name accurately as listed on AgriChain). 
6. Once completed, you may upload the CSV file to the same location as where you downloaded the template (cloud icon with the download symbol)

FAQs

Why might a cash price upload fail? 

Reasons for failure can include an invalid CSV format or an incorrect location name.

How to Amend a Cash Price?

Cash Prices cannot be amended in AgriChain, however, there is a functionality to repost cash prices that is available only to the original poster of the price. This removes the earlier cash price from the listing and posts a new price with the updated details. [Refer Article]

Click on 3 dots against the Cash Prices and then click in Title transfer. [Refer Article]
