AgriChain provides a straightforward way to mark contracts as complete without recording freight movements (loads) or title transfer. This is often applicable to scenarios where freight or ownership transfer activities are not under your purview. For example, brokering a commodity contract.
By marking a contract as complete, contract closure can occur. However, it is highly recommended to record freight movements (loads) or title transfers if they occur.
How to Mark a Contract as Complete
- In the 'Contracts' module, identify the specific contract you intend to mark as complete without the freight movements/title transfers.
- Access the 3-dot action menu either:
- Within the individual contract's page.

- From the specific contract's line item.

- Within the individual contract's page.
- Select the 'Mark Complete' option.
- A pop-up warning will appear highlighting the parameters of the feature where no real-life freight movement or title transfer will be against it.

- Click on "OK" to proceed to the 'Contract Completion Form'.
- In the form, fill in the minimum mandatory details such as Tonnage, Delivery Site and Storage and notes if needed.

- Once done, scroll to the bottom and click on "Submit".
- The contract will be mark as "Completed" and a corresponding freight movement reflecting the delivered tonnage will be generated.
- The relevant invoice against the contract can now be invoiced for based on the recorded delivered tonnage.
