Introduction

Time slots play a crucial role in scheduling and organising freight activities within AgriChain. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create a new time slot, detailing the process and the required information for accurate time slot management. This is helpful to manage the site.

Step-by-Step Instruction to Create a Time Slot: 

1. Log in to AgriChain using your credentials.
2. Navigate to the Site Management module from the left-hand side menu.
3. Click on "Select Site" to select the relevant site that you are trying to create a time slot for.
4. Once the relevant site is selected, on the Site Management page, there are two methods to create a new time slot:
   • Click on the 'New Slot' button located in the top-right corner
   • Alternatively, click on an empty time slot in the calendar.
5. After initiating the new slot creation, the "New Slot" form will open, allowing you to input relevant details for the time slot:
   • Planned: Indicates if the time slot is for future scheduling.
   • Booked: Specifies the freight company for which the time slot is being created.
   • In Progress: Marks the time slot when a truck is currently on site for pick-up or delivery.
   • Completed: Indicates when the truck has left the site.
   • Site: Select the site for which you are creating the time slot.
   • Type: Specify if the time slot is for outload (pick-up) or inload (delivery).
   • Status: Identify if the time slot is a priority or standard.
   • Date, Start Time, End Time: Specify the date and time range for the time slot.
   • Slot: Choose between a single slot, multiple slots on the same day, or across multiple days/weeks.
   • Commodity, Grade, and Tonnage: Specify details related to the commodity, grade, and tonnage for the time slot.
   • Customer, Order Number, Booking Number: Provide information about the customer and associated order or booking number.
   • Freight Provider, Truck, and Driver: Input details about the freight provider, truck registration, and driver. 
6. You may create three types of slots
   • Single Slot: Where user wants to create Single-slot booking in freight management. It is a system that allows for the reservation of a single time slot for the inload or outload of commodity.
   • Multiple Slot (Same Day): In freight management, multiple-slot booking for the same day is a system that allows the reservation of multiple time slots for inloading or outloading operations within a single day. 
   • Multiple Slot (Across Day): In freight management, multiple-slot booking for the across day is a system that allows the reservation of multiple time slots for inloading or outloading operations within multiple subsequent days.
7. Once all details are entered in the New Slot form, click the "Save" button to create the time slot
