This guide will help you manually switch the Epson TM-T30III Thermal Receipt Printer from a Wi-Fi connection to a Bluetooth connection. This setup is useful when you want to use the printer via Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi for better portability and connectivity.
Requirements:

- USB cable (for initial configuration)
- Stable power source for the printer
- Epson TM-M30111 Black Printer with Built-In USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth & Wi-Fi, power supply and cable C31CK50232

Necessary Items
Prepare the following items.
• Smart device for setting: iOS or Android device
• Printer
Setup Procedure
1. On your smart device, open the Bluetooth settings from Settings.
2. Turn on Bluetooth on the smart device.
3. Open the roll paper cover of the printer, and then hold down the Feed button until
the paper LED starts flashing, then release the button.
4. Close the roll paper cover.
A guidance that starts with "Next Action" will be printed.
• When an optional wireless LAN unit is connected, the Bluetooth function of the printer cannot be
used.
• If the host computer and the printer are not connected on a continuous basis but rather connected
every time the printer starts printing, some time may be needed for the printer to actually start
printing after the host computer commands printing. This pause is the time required for
processing the connection between the host computer and the printer, and it depends on the
conditions of the environment where used.
• If data transfer from an application of the host computer has already been completed, data might
remain in the Bluetooth module internal buffer. Since data remaining in the buffer may be
discarded when the connection is disconnected, when disconnecting the wireless connection
immediately after printing, use status or other means to confirm that the transmitted data has
been printed reliably.
• For detailed information about EPSON TM Bluetooth Connector, see the TM Bluetooth Connector
User’s Manual.
• The device name is editable with the TM-m30III Utility or Epson TM Utility.
• The Bluetooth security level has been set to "Middle" by default. For information on the Bluetooth
security settings, see "Interface Setup Mode"
5. Briefly press the Feed button (less than one second), and then hold down the button
for at least one second. A status sheet will be printed and the printer will be ready for pairing.
6. Select the same device name printed on the status sheet from the list of connectable
devices on the smart device and pair it.
7. When you see that the printer is connected, the connection is complete.
Setting up from a Windows Computer
Follow the procedure below and make the settings:
1. Have a Bluetooth wireless technology compatible computer ready. Make sure you have installed TM Bluetooth Connector.
2. Turn on the printer.
3. Open the roll paper cover of the printer, and then hold down the Feed button until
the paper LED starts flashing, then release the button.
4. Close the roll paper cover. A guidance that starts with "Next Action" will be printed.
5. Briefly press the Feed button (less than one second), and then hold down the button
for at least one second. A status sheet will be printed and the printer will be ready for pairing.
6. Start TM Bluetooth Connector.
Tips and Troubleshooting:
- Bluetooth Pairing Issues: If the printer doesn’t appear in the Bluetooth device list, restart both the printer and the computer, and try pairing again.
- Firmware Updates: Ensure that the printer firmware is up-to-date to avoid compatibility issues.
- Reverting to Wi-Fi: If you need to switch back to Wi-Fi, simply follow the same steps and select “Wi-Fi” as the connection type.
By following these steps, your Epson TM-T30II printer should now be set up to use Bluetooth instead of Wi-Fi. This configuration is ideal for flexible, portable printing in various environments.
