Understanding Offline Mode
Whenever the AgriChain mobile app detects weak or no internet connection due to poor service, coverage issues, or any other reason, it will automatically switch to Offline Mode. An orange bar with the message "Slow Internet - Offline Mode Enabled" will appear at the top of the screen.
What Happens in Offline Mode?
- App Functionality:
- Users can perform all standard actions (e.g., creating new Outloads/Inloads) just as they would in Online Mode.
- Data Syncing Limitations:
- Mobile to Web: Any data created in Offline Mode (e.g., new loads) will not sync to the Web application.
- Web to Mobile: Any new data or updates made in the Web application (e.g., new contracts, orders, or changes to existing ones) will not reflect in the mobile app.
Automatic Syncing Upon Reconnection
Once a stable internet connection is reestablished, the app will automatically sync all data created in Offline Mode to the Web application and vice versa. However, manual verification is recommended to ensure all data is properly synced.
Syncing Loads After Task Completion
To ensure all tasks performed offline are correctly captured and synced, please follow these steps when you return to an area with good network coverage:
Step-by-Step Guide for Syncing Loads:
Open the App:
Launch the AgriChain mobile app and navigate to the hamburger menu (three lines at the top left of the screen).Go to Completed Loads:
Tap on "Completed Loads" to view all tasks completed while the app was in Offline Mode.Verify Sync Status:
Check that all completed loads are marked as "Pushed to the Cloud." This indicates that the data has been successfully synced to the Web application. If any loads are not synced, they will be marked as "Pending" or "Failed."Manual Sync (if needed):
If there are any pending loads, ensure you have a stable internet connection and manually sync the loads by selecting the option provided in the app.
Note on Automatic Syncing:
The app is designed to automatically sync all data once you are back online. However, it is good practice to manually verify that all loads have synced correctly to avoid any data loss or discrepancies.
Best Practices for Using the AgriChain App
Monitor Network Connectivity:
Always ensure that you have a stable internet connection before starting or completing any tasks to avoid any syncing issues.Manual Verification:
Even though the app is designed for automatic syncing, regularly check the status of completed loads to ensure everything is updated.Reporting Issues:
If you notice any discrepancies or issues with data syncing, please contact our support team immediately for assistance.
