Request Orders: What are Request Orders and How to Create it

Modified on Wed, 12 Mar at 11:20 AM

Introduction

Request Orders on the AgriChain platform are used to manage and coordinate pickups and deliveries at sites, and are based on site approval requirements.

There are two types of request orders:

  1. Pickup Orders
  2. Delivery Orders

However, depending on the applicable scenarios below, either 1) A Freight Order or 2) Request Orders will need to be created first before actual pickups and deliveries.

Applicable Scenarios & Next Steps

Scenario 1 - When BOTH Pickup AND Delivery Sites are using AgriChain and REQUIRE SITE APPROVAL

  • First, create both a Pickup Order and a Delivery Order, respectively. This will be sent to the applicable sites for review and approval.
  • Then, create a Freight Order and enter the approved Pickup Order Number AND Delivery Order Number in it.

Scenario 2 - When ONLY ONE Site using AgriChain requires Site Approval OR one of the Sites is YOUR OWN SITE

  • For this case, you can raise a Freight Order direct to the Pickup OR Delivery Site for Site Approval.
  • Noting that you will NOT need approval for your OWN site.

To create a Request Order (Pickup/Delivery Order)

  1. When Scenario 1 above is applicable.
  2. In your 'Orders' section, go to the 'Request Orders' tab and select the green '+ REQUEST ORDER' button to create a new Pickup or Delivery Order
  3. On the 'Request Orders' creation form, select the type and proceed to select/input the relevant details.
  4. Once done, click on the 'CONTINUE AND REVIEW' button.
  5. Review the details of the Pickup/Delivery Order and once satisfied, click on the 'SUBMIT' button.
  6. A pop-up will appear on whether you would like to 'Email PDF copies to' the relevant stakeholders. You can select the applicable stakeholders for the email notification by clicking on 'SEND NOW' or select 'I'LL DO IT LATER' to not send the email notification.
  7. Once submitted, the Pickup/Delivery Order will be visible to the site for approval.
  8. Once approved by the sites, you may then create a Freight Order and enter the approved Pickup Order Number AND Delivery Order Number in it.
