Introduction
AgriChain simplifies the management of freight movements (loads) and have different Statuses and Sub-statuses to highlight the progress of the freight movement.
Freight Movement Statuses
DRAFT: Shown to the creator when the movement is created against a contract, but the contract has not yet been accepted. Visible only to the creator.
AWAITING CONFIRMATION: Shown to the creator when the movement has been sent to the counterparty but has not been accepted or rejected.
ACTION PENDING: Shown to the receiver when the movement and its associated changes (if applicable) has been received but has yet to be accepted or rejected it by the receiver.
CONFIRMED: Shown to both parties when the movement is accepted, but the pickup date has not yet arrived, and the movement has not occurred.
REJECTED: Displayed to both parties when the receiver rejects the movement.
VOID: Shown to both parties when the void request has been accepted by the receiver. Often, a void request to a load is raised if incorrect details were recorded and need to be voided and re-entered.
OPEN: Indicated when the Pick up date is past and no movement has occurred.
IN PROGRESS: Displayed when Pick up has commenced.
DELIVERED: Shown when the required tonnage, as per the movement's details, has been delivered to the delivery site. However, outload (pick up) and inload (delivery) details are not fully entered yet.
COMPLETED: Indicated when the movement is delivered and outload and inload details are fully entered. The AgriChain platform will automatically mark a delivered movement as "Completed" when all details are fully inputted.
Freight Movement Sub-statuses
DELAYED: It is shown when the Pick up date is past and the movement has undelivered, outstanding tonnage.
VOID REQUEST SENT: Displayed to the sender of the void request until the counterparty accepts the void request.
AMEND REQUEST SENT: Indicated when the sender of the amend request is awaiting acceptance by the counterparty.
AMENDED: Shown when an amend request has been accepted by the receiver of the amend request.
Common Questions
Can a confirmed freight movement be rejected?
No, once a freight movement is confirmed, it cannot be rejected. Rejection is only an option before confirmation.
What triggers the transition from "Open" to "In Progress" for a freight movement?
The movement's status changes to "In Progress" when the pick up of the load has commenced.
How is the status "Completed" different from "Delivered" for a freight movement?
"Delivered" indicates that the required tonnage has reached the delivery site but there are incomplete outload (pick up) or inload (delivery) details. "Completed" movements are delivered loads with their outload and inload details fully entered. The AgriChain platform will automatically mark a delivered movement as "Completed" when all details are fully inputted.
Is it possible to void a freight movement after it has been confirmed?
Yes, a freight movement can be voided after confirmation, and the void status will be shown once the receiver of the void request accepts it.
Can an amend request be sent for a freight movement in the "Completed" status?
Yes, an amend request can be sent, but acceptance depends on the counterparty. If accepted, the status changes to "Amended."
Can an amendment request be withdrawn after being sent?
Yes, the sender can withdraw an amend request before the counterparty accepts it.
When are freight movement broker invoice statuses assigned?
"Freight Movement Brokerage Invoiced" statuses indicate the invoicing of complete brokerage fees as defined in the freight movement and/or the original freight order or contract.
Can a void request be sent for a freight movement with movements marked as "Completed"?
Yes, a void request can be sent, but acceptance depends on the counterparty. If accepted, the status changes to "Void."
