Introduction
Users can create Independent Freight Movement (loads that are not against any order or contract) for various reasons.
Steps to create an Independent Freight Movement:
- Log in to AgriChain using your credentials.
- Navigate to the Freight Movement module from the left-hand side menu.
- Click on "+Freight Movement" (Green button) in the top right corner of the screen.
- Fill out the form based on relevant details.
- Select the 'Type' to proceed further. There are two types of Freight movement:
- Customer Only Freight Movement: When you have stock in any site and want to move the stock from one site to another site of your own, or it is just an internal transfer under the same owner, 'Customer Only' is selected.
- Seller To Buyer: When you have stock in any site and want to transfer the stock from one site to another, where ownership of the stock is changed, 'Seller to Buyer' is selected.
- Select the relevant status:
- Planned - If any movements are to be planned for future time slots
- Delivered - If any movement has already happened, you need to fill out the details in the system.
- Proceed to fill up the relevant details
- Fill out the Pick Up and Delivery details
- Once completed, click on “Continue and Review” (bottom-right corner).
- On the Contract Preview screen, cross-check all the details.
- Click on “Submit” to proceed.
- A pop-up will appear with the option to email PDF copies of the contract:
- Select the counterparty’s email address to send them a notification
- (Optional) Tick the "Acceptance Request" checkbox if you want approval from the counterparty.
- Click “Send Now” to trigger the email or “I’ll Do It Later” to skip it.
Note: If the contract is on AgriChain, please toggle on the option, and the system will prompt you to select the relevant contract.
If the contract is not available on the AgriChain system, toggle off the option and enter the 'Contract Reference Number'.
