Introduction

In AgriChain, Freight Movement is a tool to record the physical movement of grains from point A to point B. It can be the movement of grain from seller to buyer or transferring from site to site.

There are three ways of creating a Freight Movement based on different use cases. Users can create Freight Movement:

  1. Against a Contract.
    • Creating movement against a contract can effectively draw down the tonnage of contractual obligations and be easily managed in the contract page.

FAQs

Is there a limit on how many freight movements I can create?

There is no limit to how many freight movements users can create, be it an independent movement or against a contract or order, if there is still tonnage left.

If I created an independent movement but want to assign (allocate) it to a contract or order, would I be able to do it?

You may reassign (or allocate) the movement to a contract or order as long as the customer, commodity and grade match. Otherwise, the system will trigger a warning message and an opportunity for users to confirm which information is correct.
