Introduction
Throughput loads are offered by sites to manage loads that are often stored for a short period of time or are intended to be moved to another location soon.
Often, throughput loads do not incur receival (inload) or storage fees until they are outturned (outloaded), where the owner of said throughput loads will be charged the throughput rate.
On the AgriChain platform, the throughput rate during outload can be captured using the 'Throughput Outload Fees' function.
To ensure that the throughput rate on outturns (outloads) are captured by the platform and automatically flows to your Warehouse Dashboard for invoicing:
- First set up your 'Throughput Outload Fees' in your Warehousing Fees section.
- Help Article: How to Set Up Storage or Warehousing Fees (click here)
- Video Tutorial: How to setup storage fees (click here)
- Next, mark an Order as a throughput order to capture throughput loads.

You may also regrade/reseason 'Throughput Load'. To regrade/reseason 'Throughput Load', you may proceed as normal; however, please note to mark the regrade/reseason for 'Throughput Loads' by marking the checkbox located at the bottom of the Regrade/Reseason page. To learn more about Regrade/Reseason, please refer to the article [Refer Article].
FAQs
I have throughput inload stocks at site. How does the platform determine whether to outload throughput loads or normal loads first?
Currently, the platform follows a hierarchy rule where throughput inloads are used (outloaded) first, and once exhausted, normal inloads are used. This is also dependent on the loads being outloaded against an Order that has been marked as a throughput order.
How can I convert throughput loads into normal loads?
Currently, throughput loads are identified based on the throughput order they are inloaded or outloaded against. To convert throughput loads into normal loads, you must amend the order itself by un-selecting (un-marking) the 'Throughput' option.
In other words:
- If an Order is marked as Throughput, all associated loads will automatically be marked as Throughput.
- If an Order is not marked as Throughput, all associated loads will automatically be marked as Non-throughput.
